Account Alias Feature

Objective:

To verify that an alias is assigned for your account, and that it can be used to send vouchers.

Test steps:

Alias

Go to My account right from the Main Menu
You can get an alias assigned to you by:
- using the my alias menu option,request for an alias using your preferred name.
- Going to Profile,then edit your profile,starting from name until you confirm the name with your PIN.
Go back,then View Profile:
- Check that your profile information is correctly setup as entered, and that an alias is a part of this information and take note of it.
Go back to Main Menu,then Send,enter your alias a recipient,check that the Menu recognizes it as a valid recipient

Expected behaviour:

An alias is assigned to your account when you setup your profile information or you request a new one via My alias on My Account.
The assigned alias can be used as a recipient for vouchers.

Account Blocking Feature

Objective:

To verify that the account is blocked after more than 3 incorrect PIN attempts.

Test steps:

Go to My Account,Profile,then View Profile.
Enter an Incorrect PIN when prompted.
Repeat step 2 for a total of 3 times, with each attempt using a different incorrect PIN.
Check the USSD response after the third attempt.

Expected behaviour:

Check that your account gets blocked after 3 incorrect PIN attempts,informing you on the next steps to follow to unblock your account.
Ensure that as you enter an Incorrect PIN,your remaining PIN attempts decreases as expected.

Note

The above testing steps can be done on any menu option that requires you to enter your PIN to proceed to the next step.

Account Unblocking Feature

Objective:

To verify that an admin can unblock an account that has been blocked.

Setup

Block an account that can be used to test the unblock account feature.
Grant your phone number the permissions required to unblock an account.

Test steps:

Go to My account ,then PIN options then Reset Others PIN.
Enter the phone number of the blocked account,enter a new four digit PIN for it and confirm it.
Dial the USSD using the newly unblocked phone number.

Expected behaviour

Check that the unblocked phone number can now again access the Menu.
